According to the police, a suspect who allegedly shot and killed his ex -wife in a hospital in Detroit and then fled the scene, was arrested, according to the police.
Mario Green, 53, was arrested without incident shortly before 3 am local time on Saturday, according to the Detroit Police Department.
The shooting occurred before 10 am on Friday at the basement of Henry Ford hospital, where his ex -wife Latricia Green worked, according to the police.

“Our officers worked tirelessly to get this monster out of the street,” said Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison in a statement.
“I would like to thank our police members who helped us to stop Mario Green, along with the community that gave us numerous advice on the suspect. No person deserves what happened to Mrs. Latricia Green and my heart and my prayers are with his family,” he said.
The suspect allegedly fired multiple shots from a gun after entering a “verbal altercation” with his ex -wife, said Detroit police chief Todd Bettison, during a press conference on Friday.
The suspect later fled the hospital in a 2011 Dodge White charger, Bettison said. He was captured in a video that came out of the installation at approximately 9:55 am, said the boss.

“It is supposed to be armed and dangerous,” Bettison said.
No other victims were located after a hospital sweep, police said.

Bettison said he didn’t know what the victim did in the hospital or how Mario Green was able to access the basement.
About a month ago, Latricia Green had requested a personal protection order against Mario Green, according to Detroit Assistant Chief Charles Fitzgerald.
“Unfortunately, she did not serve in her ex -husband, so she almost brings us here today,” Fitzgerald told the ABC Detroit Wxyz affiliate.
Green has a direction in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and is described as approximately 6 feet 4 inches. The Michigan State Police published images of the suspect and his vehicle in the midst of human hunting.

The hospital closed briefly, but since then it has reopened all patients and visitors.
Henry Ford Health, the hospital’s parent company, said it is cooperating with police investigation “and is also carrying out our own internal investigation.”
“We are devastated by the loss of our teammate at Henry Ford hospital and our hearts are with their loved ones: their family, friends and the people who worked every day,” the hospital said in a statement.
“We are providing resources to the members of our team who are dealing with the impacts of this tragic incident. The safety and well -being of our patients, visitors and team members is our greatest priority,” the statement continued.
