The Chamber voted little to approve the budget plan of the Republican Party on Thursday by a 216-214 vote, offering a great victory for the legislative agenda of President Donald Trump.
Trump congratulated the Chamber for the passage of the bill, saying in a publication about its social platform of truth that this “prepares the scenario for one of the greatest and most important signings in the history of our country.”
“Among many other things, they will be the largest tax cuts and regulation ever contemplated,” Trump said.
The Treasury Secretary, Scott Besent, described the passage of the bill “A declaration of purpose and strength”.
“The Trump administration will continue to press for certainty, simplicity and stability that will unlock long -term prosperity for all Americans,” Besent said in a statement.
The president of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, suffered a setback on Wednesday night when he was forced to eliminate a planned vote due to the opposition of a small group of republican intransigents who are concerned about the budget that would be added to the nation’s deficit.
Party with the leader of the majority of the Senate, John Thune, Johnson said he had “very productive” deliberations with the members on Wednesday night and Thursday tried to highlight the efforts to reduce spending by more than one billion dollars.
“We are committed to finding at least $ 1.5 billion in savings for the American people and at the same time preserve our essential programs,” said Johnson.

Thune seemed less excited about the objective of reducing the deficit, but he meekly supported the high objective of the savings chamber to the budget, announcing that the ambition of the Senate for fiscal sustainability is “aligned with the chamber.”
“We have to do something to take the country on a more fiscal road and that implies that we take a hard exfoliant of our government, discovering where we can find those savings,” said Thune. “The speaker has spoken of $ 1.5 billion. We have many senators from the United States who believe it is a minimum and we will do everything possible to be as aggressive as possible.”
President Trump, who has personally participated in trying to adopt the measure, had weighed on Thursday morning that the Republicans were “approaching.”
“‘The Big, Beautiful Bill’ is coming very well. Republicans are working together.
The leaders of the Republican Party of the House of Representatives had fought during the past week to block the votes, after more than 20 Republicans expressed concern that the Senate resolution established a floor of only $ 4 billion in savings. Before the vote, Johnson said he had the necessary support.
“Our goal is to meet our promises,” said Johnson.
